The immediate past governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau north in the National Assembly, Sen Jonah Jang has said he is ever ready to give account of his time as Governor of Plateau State as long as the process is without bias and pre- determined outcomes...
In a statement through his media aide, Comrade Clinton Garuba, Jang said, “We are studying the composition and terms of reference of the Judicial Commission as constituted by the governor, so we can take an informed decision which shall be our position on the matter”.
He said he has done his best for the state and continues to shield her from all adversaries foreign and domestic, in ways the present administration can never comprehend because of its generic greed, gullibility, and Esau-mentality which encourages the sale of birthrights for a plate of porridge
The statement read, “Ordinarily, Governor Simon Lalong, who may never be able to measure up to the developmental strides, records, and achievements of Senator Jonah Jang, lacks the credibility to be taken seriously judging by his abysmal show of inertia to the forces of progress and development. Notwithstanding, he must still be reasonably engaged, for history to be complete.
“As at the last count, the Judicial Commission of Inquiry is the sixth committee Lalong has constituted, mandated, empowered, and inaugurated to probe the tenure of the former governor, and like the rest before it, nothing would be gained except the visible characteristics of all associated with power acquired by accident”
The statement said that the present governor engages in arithmetic abracadabra to bamboozle people with figures which exist only in the minds of their apologists and praise singers, adding that so much money has been expended in what is now a wild goose chase.
Sen Jang said, notable among them, is the millions of taxpayers’ money capable of paying workers’ salaries for about two months, paid to KPMG for a forensic audit to no avail. Plateau State Government under Simon Lalong continues to waste scarce resources that would have been put to better use for the good of the state on a needless voyage of fantasies and fixation bound for the rocks.
He said the sheer desperation as seen in the duplicity of the panels, committees, commissions, and approaches only combine to expose a man in dire need of guidance in the art of governance having consistently flopped at moving the state in the direction of progress
