When it came time for Rihanna, 28, to receive her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 Video Music Awards, the room went WILD. But it wasn’t just because RiRi totally deserved the accolade. No, it was also because Drake, 29, was the one to take the stage to present it to her.

Drake and Rihanna smiled shyly at each other, giggling throughout his whole speech, during which he gushed about how wonderful the singer is. “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old,” he said to the VMAs crowd as he gave the award to the gorgeous singer. Wait. WHAT? And with that, the entire world said in unison, “KISS HER!” And he totally did! But alas, it was just a peck. Though, what did you expect?
